12/27/08 Prentice Pond at Inlet Pond County Park: red phase Eastern Screech-Owl in Wood Duck box. 

12/27/08 Deep Hole Creek: first year male Eurasian Wigeon.

12/25/08 Iron Pier Beach: 2 immature Iceland Gulls.  Paul Gillen.

12/18/08 Marratooka: Greater White-fronted Goose.  Paul Gillen. 

12/13/08 Southold: flock of 20 American Pipits

12/13/08 Marratooka Lake: Two families of Snow Geese, two adults and four immatures each.  Paul Gillen.

12/12/08 Iron Pier Beach: Glaucous Gull.  Paul Gillen.

12/7/08 Iron Pier Beach: first year Iceland Gull, adult Lesser Black-backed Gull.

12/4/08 Arshamomaque Preserve: 2 male and 1 female Rusty Blackbird.

11/30/08 Iron Pier Beach: first year Iceland Gull, adult Black-headed Gull.

11/29/08 NFAS Field Trip to Jones Beach highlights:  thousands of Brant, 3 Northern Harrier, 2 Merlin, 2 Peregrine Falcon, 2 Snowy Owl, 1 female Boat-tailed Grackle.  Rick & Linda Kedenburg.

11/23/08 Southold:  4 Eastern Bluebirds (family group adult male & female with 2 immatures).  Nancy Conradi.

11/23/08 Southold: 6 White-winged Crossbill (2 males, 4 juvenals/females).  Rich & Nancy Willott.

11/19/2008 East of Bridge Lane: 50 Horned Larks.  Linda Kedenburg.

11/19/08 North Road to the Sound and Bridge Lane to Mattituck:  Between 10:30 & 11:30 AM there was a constant stream of American Robins going west to east.  There must have been thousands of them all very dark like the New England type. The exodus was still going on as we left.  Rick & Linda Kedenburg.

11/9/08 Southold:  4 Eastern Meadowlarks.
