Here are the results of the Plum Island bird survey conducted on Plum Island on 11/27/07. The survey was conducted by Carolyn Spilman from Audubon New York and John Sep from North Fork Audubon Society. Wandering counts were conducted at 18 stops throughout the entire island from 7:30 AM to 11:45 AM.
The highlight of the day was an adult peregrine falcon hunting the dunes near Pine Point!
