Did you know that many ducks and other waterfowl winter on and around Long Island? 

They can be found in Long Island Sound, Peconic Bay, and other waterways and ponds and lakes for nearly five months out of the year! When you get close up looks at these birds through binoculars or spotting scopes, you will be amazed at the colors and arrays of plumages you won't find on any other family of birds. From dabblers to divers, you won't be disappointed with observing these winter visitors. 

Through a power point presentation the night before our boat trip on Peconic Bay, you will learn about and get to know some of the waterfowl that we will undoubtedly see on our excursion.
